Résumé This Regulation sets forth procedures and principles for the selection, training, and responsibilities of the personnel who will implement quarantine procedures. Agricultural quarantine inspectors shall be responsible for the following: preventing and controlling pest and diseases on importation of plants, plant products, industrial and forestry products; complying with quarantine legislation of buyer countries on exportation; and, conducting necessary supervision and monitoring during importation, exportation, re-exportation and transit movements. Candidate qualifications are detailed in the regulation. Inspector courses are organized once a year (max. twice if needed) for a period of 2 months, including theory and practical training. Those who pass the final examination shall become inspector candidates and shall assist experienced inspectors for a period of six months. Those who are successful within this period become agricultural quarantine inspectors. Their main duties include: i) preparing Plant Health Certificates for export products according to the legislation of the importing country; ii) advising respective custom offices whether the imported products comply to Turkish quarantine legislation; iii) checking packages and transportation vehicles for transit movements; iv) performing aforementioned tasks for re-exportation and returned items, etc. Texte intégral Turc Références - Législation Abroge Regulation on Agricultural Quarantine Inspectors.
