Résumé This Ministerial Regulation aims at giving a reference to Fishery Supervisors, Skippers, owners, operators, fishing vessels and/or those responsible for fisheries companies in the framework of Fishery Vessel Operation (SLO). SLO is a certificate stating that fishing vessels have fulfilled administrative requirements and technical feasibility to carry out fishing activities, establishing that fishing vessels are enabled to perform fishing activity. Every fishing vessel carrying out fishing activities must have a SLO. Fishing activities as referred to in paragraph (1) include: a) fish catching; b) transportation of fish; c) training on fisheries; d) fisheries research/exploration; and e) supporting fishing and/or fish farming operations. SLO is issued by the Fishery Supervisor, who shall be appointed and dismissed by the Minister. Further provisions regarding the procedures and requirements for the appointment and dismissal of the Fishery Supervisor are regulated separately by a Ministerial Regulation.
