Résumé

Item 5 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Retail businesses may freeze food intended for donation during the expiration date, ensuring a rapid temperature drop to -18 °C or lower inside the product or in accordance with the instructions provided by the manufacturer or the product specification, or the requirements declared by the retail business, as well as during product freezing and until the end of the intended period of freezing of the product, ensuring its safety. Food frozen in this way is labeled with the date of freezing, and its shelf life must not exceed 30 days.” The document shall be supplemented with Item 5 (1) of the following wording: “A retail business that donates or another retail business that receives a donation shall ensure that poultry eggs and food intended for donation to the final consumer are marked with a special, clearly visible and indelible indication that the food is intended for donation, for example "For donation", "For charity".”
