In case of the introduction of quarantine restrictions shall be imposed on movement of cattle, import and export of products of animal origin. During quarantine the following activities shall be prohibited: (a) animal transportation through area under quarantine; (b) procurement of products of animal origin, hay, straw and other fodder; (c) joint grazing, watering and other contact between infected and sound animals; (d) re-grouping of animals in farms without a special veterinarian’s permit; and (e) trade of products of animal origin. The following quarantine arrangements shall be also undertaken: (a) liquidation or disposal of animal carcasses; (b) liquidation or disinfection of manure, litter, fodder residues from infected animals or animals under observation; (c) restrictive access of personnel to livestock barns, herds, flocks etc.; (d) internment of service staff (when necessary) in the large livestock barns; and (e) systematic disinfection of overalls and shoes, tools and equipment of the working staff.
