The Regulation consists of 3 Chapters divided into 14 articles: General Provisions (I); Duties and Competencies (II); Miscellaneous Provisions (III). The main objectives of this Regulation include: to facilitate the access of breeders to genetic improvement services; to increase the quality and quantity of animal products; to improve the breeders’ economy; to reduce sexually transmitted diseases of lactating cows. The Animal Husbandry Department is the authority responsible to implement the provisions of this Regulation and to issue authorization for genetic improvement acts.
