Résumé The purpose of this Regulation is to prevent certain dangerous substances and preparations from causing environmental damage. These rules apply to the production, international trade and use of substances, preparations and products for analysis and research purposes, unless otherwise specified. Among the hazardous substances, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB), lead, mercury and mercury compounds, short-chain chlorinated paraffin, octylphenol, acrylamide and methylol, brominated flame retardants, N, N-diethyl-m-toluamide (DEET), PFOS in fire-fighting foam, phosphor, batteries, electrical products and equipment as well as oil-derivate substances (gasoline, diesel etc.). The former (electrical products) shall be labeled in adherence to EU regulations, and prevention of emissions leading to depletion of ozone in the shall also be regulated by this document.
