Résumé The Regulation sets rules on the fishing quota of king crab specifically found in quota-regulated marine areas (article 1). Norwegian vessels are allowed to catch 800 tons male crabs, 50 tons female crabs and 100 tons of damaged male crabs in these areas, between 1 August 2012 to 31 July 2013. Of these quantities, 30.3 tons male crabs shall be allocated for research purposes, 3 tons of male crabs for fishing, and 2 tons of male crabs for leisure fishing. It is not permitted to transfer catch from one vessel to another and total allowable bycatch may be up to 5%. Registration of catch must be submitted to the Fishery Directorate within 14 days after the month of catch.
