For the purposes of this Regulation, a price zone is an area with the same value level and value formation mechanism. For the purposes of this Regulation, data reflecting the quality of the soil and the ability of the soil to supply plants with the necessary nutrients and water and oxygen (soil fertility) are deemed to be data reflecting the quality of the soil. A land quality map shall be prepared only for sparsely populated areas. Data reflecting soil fertility in sparsely populated areas shall be entered on the basis of the main map of Estonia compiled in the scale of 1:10 000 by the contours of mapping units. A layer of map data reflecting the composition of the soil shall be formed on the basis of the basic map of Estonia prepared on a scale of 1:10 000 by contours of mapping units reflecting the composition of the soil. The list of mapping units is set out in the Annex to this Regulation. If it is not possible to detail the more general mapping units to be transferred from previously prepared maps, different details of the units shall be preserved in different parts of the map. The Regulation also provides a list of Estonian soil mapping units, which lists the types of soils and their corresponding units.
