It prohibits haddock fshing beyond the established quotas. The total allowable catch for pollock in the areas defined by the Regulation is 27 375 tonnes, of which 1 tonnes are exclusive for research and education. Rules are laid down regulating vessel allocation accordig to fishing gear used, by-catch, use of fishing quotas throughout the year, etc. The Directorate of Fisheries can order a halt of fishing when the quotas have been used.
