The objectives of the forest inventory are to collect data on the nature and condition of forests and their location and the size of stocks; and collection of necessary basic information for advising the forest owner and preparing the forest management plan. The Regulation consists of seven chapters: General provisions and purpose (1); Forest mapping conditions (2); Forest inventory methodology (3); Planning requirements for forest management methods and techniques (4); Methodology for calculating forest logging volume (5); Requirements for establishing a forest management plan (6); and Implementing provisions (7).
