Résumé The Regulation establishes regulation on subsidy grant to help protected areas and other valuable natural areas as part of a broad wealth creation that has long term positive effect on nature, communities and economic development. Municipalities, Regional Council, NGOs, businesses, landowners, supervisory committee and conservation controls may receive subsidy for: a) attractions and measures for channeling traffic, such as gateways, short trails and transit points; b) different types of information and measures for the development of management and visit national parks as a brand; c) professional expertise in tourism businesses; d) measures to improve cooperation between natural resource management, industry and communities; e) management of projects that fall under letters a-d. Subsidy shall only be granted to applicants who contribute at least with 50% of own funding (financial resources or labor). Applications for grants must be submitted electronically to the Norwegian Environment Agency within the application deadlines announced in the Climate and Environment Ministry's annual circulars for subsidies.
