Résumé

The Regulation applies to the hunting of seals in the fishery zone around Jan Mayen and in the waters around Jan Mayen - off Greenland's economic zone, and west of Svalbard and in adjoining areas of Greenland's economic zone and the Icelandic economic zone. Norwegian vessels that are authorized to hunt seals, shall be allowed to hunt a maximum of 25 000 yearly (in the Western Ice area) and 7 000 (in the Eastern Ice area). This quota applies to non-lactating seals, as well as to non-lactating off-springs (two of the latter shall be corresponding to the count of one adult seal).
