Résumé This Regulation is composed of 5 Chapters divided into 21 articles. Chapter I deals with terms and definitions. Chapter II defines requirements, conditions and documentations necessary for regulating and practicing of the Veterinary Profession which are: (a) un-allowance to practice the Veterinary Profession and the activities related to this Profession unless a previous licence issued by the General Department for Agricultural and Animal Affairs (the Competent Authority) according to the requirements and conditions issued by the Minister of Agriculture and Fish Resources who shall indicate the activities related to this Profession; (b) creation of a list at the Ministry of Agriculture and Fish Resources of all authorized veterinarians indicating the number and date of the registration and the university degree; (c) the veterinarian shall not practice the profession in more than clinic; (d) the veterinarian shall communicate by a registered letter to the Competent Authority the eventual leaving of Oman for more than 7 days as well as close the clinic during his absence; (e) the veterinarian shall not shelter afflicted animals or birds in his clinic unless the clinic is well-equipped; (f) the veterinarian shall communicate immediately to the Competent Authority any suspect of any contagious diseases; (g) the veterinarian shall keep a register of all treated cases and all diseases; and (h) liability of the veterinarian for eventual scientific and technical mistake. Chapter III specifies requirements and conditions necessary for regulating the establishment of private veterinary clinics which are: (a) no allowance to establish a veterinary clinic without obtaining the necessary authorization from the Competent Authority; (b) the Minister of Agriculture and Fish Resources shall issue a resolution illustrating the conditions and requirements for the issuance of the licence and authorizations for the establishment of the veterinary clinic; (c) changing or transferring the site of the clinic without the necessary authorization is prohibited; and (d) sale or storage of the veterinary medicines in the clinic is prohibited unless the necessary quantity for the daily use. Chapter IV deals with general provisions regarding profession licence fees and clinic construction fees which shall be defined by a resolution of the Minister of Agriculture and Fish Resources with the approval of the Ministry of Finance on the condition that the fees shall not exceed than OR (100).
