The main objectives of the implementation of this Program shall be as follows: (a) to increase the economic efficiency of the crop production; (b) implementation of the integrated development of the crop production; (c) ensuring regional food security; and (d) conservation, restoration and increase of soil fertility of agricultural land. To achieve these goals, the following tasks are envisaged: (a) implementation of a set of agrotechnical, agrochemical and phytosanitary measures in the crop production sector; (b) improving the structure of sown areas of crops; (c) reduction in the area of unused arable land; (b) timely varietal change and varietal renewal, improvement of varietal and sowing qualities of seeds used in agricultural production; (c) increase in gross yield of crops; (d) protection of property interests of producers through crop insurance in case of occurrence of hydrometeorological phenomena (natural disasters) dangerous for agricultural production; and (e) conducting scientific research and introducing the achievements of science and technology into the plant growing industry.
