Résumé

The present Regional Regulation makes provision on wildlife farming and hounds farming, in compliance with Regional Act No. 7 of 5 January 1995 which concerns wildlife protection and hunting. Wildlife species may be farmed for repopulation, nutritional or ornamental purposes. Only the autochthonous species specified by article 1, paragraph 1 may be farmed for repopulation purposes. Furthermore, even species that may not be hunted can be farmed, upon previous consent given by the National Institute for Wildlife (INFS). Farmers must comply with the duties and prescriptions established by paragraph 4 of article 2. Farming for nutritional and for ornamental purposes are regulated by articles 3 and 4 respectively. Article 5, on the other hand, regulates birdcalls farming, which is permitted only if in compliance with the conditions and requirements established therein. All the above-mentioned farming activities shall be subject to the previuos issuance of an authorization by the competent Province. Title II of the Regulation concerns hounds farming. Farmers must comply with the conditions listed out in article 6, which include the performance of sanitary checks at least twice a year, certification requirements, carrying out of dinfestations and disinfections, keeping of a farming register. Title III regulates the keeping as well as the use of birdcalls by hunters.
