Résumé The present Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of fisheries, management, conservation and use of aquatic biodiversity and its natural habitats, in which are involved bodies of State authority and local self-government, Russian and foreign nationals and legal persons. The provisions of the present Regional Law apply to all subjects of the relations in the sphere of management and use of water basins destined for fisheries and aquatic biodiversity pertaining to the regional property and transferred under regional jurisdiction. The document consists of 6 Sections divided into 24 artilces. Section I (arts. 1-6) lays down general provisions. Section II (arts. 7-10) establishes plenary powers of the bodies of State power and local self-government. Section III (arts. 11-17) establishes the modalities of use of aquatic biodiversity at the regional level. Section IV (arts. 18-20) regards scientific research in the field of fisheries.
