This Regional Law, in accordance with the federal law, determines game, including birds, authorized for commercial hunting, establishes the procedure for the distribution of hunting permits among natural persons performing hunting in generally accessible hunting areas and regulates other relations in the field of hunting and conservation of hunting resources. In addition to bird species classified as game at the national level, hooded crow shall be classified as game and authorized for hunting on the regional territory. Game authorized for commercial hunting shall be considered: (a) mammals (except for endangered and protected wild fauna species recorded in the federal and regional Red Books): mammals - elk, wild reindeer, wild bar, bears, sable, weasel, ermine, Siberian striped weasel, mink, wolverine, otter, hare, squirrel, muskrat, beavers, moles, chipmunks, flying squirrel, hamsters, water vole, fox, wolf, raccoon dog, fox, lynx, badger; and (b) birds – geese, brants, ducks, wood grouse, black grouse, hazel grouse, white partridge, quail, rail, common crake, corncrake, European coot, plover, turnstone, ruff, sage grouse, Terek sandpiper, godwit, curlew, snipes, double snipe, jack snipe, common woodcock, pigeons and turtle doves. The distribution of hunting permits among natural persons performing hunting in generally accessible hunting grounds shall be carried out on the basis of the limits of game, hunting resources, quotas and rates of permissible hunting.
