This Regional Law enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Résumé

This Regional Law establishes legal grounds for raising and keeping of honey bees (Apis mellifera), use thereof for obtaining apiculture products, and also state support of apiculture. The scope of this Regional Law shall be: (a) creation of conditions for raising, keeping of honey bees and use thereof for pollination of entomophilous plants with a view of raising crop productivity; (b) raising manufacturing of apiculture products; (c) protection of honey bees; and (d) protection of rights and interests of natural and legal persons carrying out apiculture (art. 4). State support of apiculture shall be envisaged by the regional budget (art. 5). Apiculture must comply with the following requirements: (a) conservation of varieties of bee species and protection of bee genetic resources; (b) optimal population of bees in areas under crops and grasses in need of pollination; (c) compliance with epidemiological and sanitary requirements; and (d) prevention of damages to human health and ecosystems (art. 6). State veterinary institution shall carry out quality and safety control of suitability of apiculture products for alimentary purposes Veterinary and sanitary certificate shall be issued to all the apiaries twice a year (art. 9). Trade of apiculture products shall be authorized in the presence of veterinary and quality compliance certificates. Trade of falsified and adulterated apiculture products shall be prohibited (art. 10).
