This Regional Law enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Résumé

This Regional Law establishes legal basis for fisheries and conservation of aquatic biological resources, and establishes competence in the aforesaid sphere of the Regional Legislative Assembly, the Regional Government and regional executive bodies. Fishing area can be allotted through tender in accordance with fishing area management contract (Art. 9). Traditional and customary fisheries can be carried out without allotment of fishing area and without fishing authorization except for catch of rare and endangered and rare aquatic biological species. Quotas for traditional and customary fisheries shall be distributed among authorized applicants by the Regional Government (Art. 10). Artisanal and sport fisheries, with or without release of catch to its natural habitat, shall be carried out free of charge by citizens in the waterbodies of common use (Art. 11).
