Résumé This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of protection and management of wild fauna species, conservation and restoration of natural habitats thereof with a view of ensuring sustainable management of biological diversity and creation of conditions for sustainable existence of wild fauna and conservation of genetic resources thereof. Regional Government shall have the following competence: (a) adoption of legislative acts in the sphere of protection and management of wild fauna, and enforcement of the aforesaid legislation; (b) elaboration and validation of regional programs for conservation of wild fauna species; (c) constitution and keeping regional Red Book of rare, protected and endangered wild fauna species; and (d) participation in the realization of international agreements on protection and conservation of wild fauna species.
