Regional Law No. 123-Z “On exceptional cases of timber extraction in accordance with purchase and sale contract of forest species”.

This Regional Law establishes exceptional cases of timber extraction in accordance with purchase and sale contract of forest species for public and municipal needs. Exceptional cases shall be considered: (a) timber extraction for the prevention of natural and technological disasters and mitigation of the consequences thereof; (b) timber extraction for construction purposes for repairs of public edifices damaged as a result of natural or technological disasters; (c) timber extraction by the producers of agricultural commodities for construction and re-construction of maintenance buildings for agricultural purposes; (d) procurement of fuelwood for public edifices; and (e) procurement of fir trees (spruces) and other coniferous forest species for New Year festivities (art. 1). Quantification of the amount of timber extraction for the aforesaid purposes shall be established by the Governor (art. 2).
