Regional Act No. 21 making provision on rural districts.

With a view to enhancing rural development in the Tuscany Region, this Regional Act lays down rules governing the setting up and recognition of rural districts. Rural districts shall be established by agreements concluded between local authorities and private persons or entities. Particular provisions are laid down as to the economic and territorial plans implemented by rural districts (art. 5), the activities in which rural districts may be engaged (art. 6), as well as allocation of regional financial resources (art. 7) to sustain rural districts’ activities.
