Firstly, article 1 entrusts to the Provinces and Mountain Communities all administrative functions concerned with this field. Article 2 determines the areas in which gathering may take place, precisely woods and non cultivated lands. Further provisions regard with detail gathering by requiring the previous issue of an authorization, fixing the periods during which gathering shall be permitted, establishing the gear that may be used and setting forth certain prohibitions so as to protect the surrounding ecosystem. Article 9 lays down particular provisions for mountain territories. Article 11 deals with the placing on the market of mushrooms. Article 12 provides for the performance of sanitary checks; article 14 lays down penalties. Three Annexes are attached. Annexes 1 and 2 list out the most common poisonous and toxic species.
