For this purpose, the Regional Act provides for the establishment of the Special Fund for Lazio Coasts (art. 22), intended for allocating financial resources. Article 5 determines the beneficiaries (the Provinces, other territorial local entities, associations, non profit organizations, private enterprises and social cooperatives, etc.). Article 6 sets out priority criteria to comply with. The Regional Council shall draw up the Integrated Intervention Programme (referred to in Part II of the Act) and then notify it to the European Commission. The Programme shall be coordinated with other sectorial plans concerning soil conservation, water resources and maritime domain. Part III regulates the implementation of the Programme through particular Intervention Projects. Coordinating, assessment and advisory functions shall be eexrcised by the Control Office under the Regional Counsel competent in matter of planning and budget (Part IV).
