Résumé

This Measure provides for the imposition of a levy on: (a) activities comprised in breeding, keeping, processing, marketing and distributing cattle, sheep, or pigs; and (b) activities comprised in producing, processing, marketing, manufacturing and distributing products derived to any substantial extent from those animals (apart from milk and milk products, fleece wool and hides). The objectives of the Measure include increasing efficiency and productivity in the red meat industry and improving marketing in the industry. The Measure also provides for levy-related matters such as inspection, returns, etc.
