Résumé

This Recommendation of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT), noting that trade restrictive measures should be adopted and implemented in accordance with international law, including principles, rights and obligations established in World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreements, and be implemented in a fair, transparent and non-discriminatory manner, requires CPCs to collect data on fish products imported or landed in their ports. The Commission of ICCAT shall identify states that have either to discharge their obligations under the ICCAT Convention (CPCs) or to discharge their obligations under the international law (NPCs) with respect to ICCAT conservation and management of tuna and tuna-like species. The Commission should request CPCs and NCPs concerned to rectify the act or omission identified. In certain circumstances, the Commission shall recommend to CPCs the imposition of trade-restrictive measures or it may decide to undertake action itself including, as appropriate, the imposition of trade-restrictive measures.
