Résumé

This Act authorizes the capture alive Sambar Deer (Binado) during the authorized hunting season as provided by Regulation. It also authorizes the captive breeding of Sambar deer subject to certain conditions (licence and otherwise) and sets out conditions for recapturing of escaped deer. The permit holder is responsible for any damage that occurs as a result of the captive wildlife during a period of escape. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to neighbouring crops, damage to conservation areas, or damage to other property. Permit holders with a captive rearing license for deer may sell the meat or any part of reared animals if the sale is accompanied by a certificate of origin.
