Résumé The present Regulations are made under section 19 the Northwest Territories Lands Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the exploration of quarries, such as carving stone and loam in the Territories. Section 2 establishes that a person who wishes to obtain a lease or a permit of a location under these Regulations shall stake the location as described in this section. The text – consisting of 13 sections deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: interpretation, staking location, leases, renewal of lease, loam, sand, gravel and stone for residents, permits, reservations, fees and royalties.
