In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to standards for the production of feeds, as well as to the release of novel feeds. The text – consisting of 20 sections – deals, inter alia, with the following matters: deleterious substances, notification and authorization of the release of novel feeds, information requirements, decision of the Minister, new information requirements, registration, satisfactory evidence, registration and renewal of registrations, refusal to register and cancellation of registration, standards and general requirements, guaranteed analysis, labelling, naming feeds, packaging, samples of analysis.
