Résumé

In accordance with the Circular of the State Council on the Establishment of State Bureaus Administered by Ministries (Guo Fa [2008] No. 12), the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA, vice ministry level administration) shall be established. CFDA is a national organization under supervision of the Ministry of Health. The main responsibilities of CFDA shall include: in catering, canteen and other consumption related segments, supervision and administration on food hygiene license and food safety, formulation of food safety management specifications and supervision of implementation thereof, food safety investigation and monitoring work, etc.
