Landlords of premises are forbidden from using or threatening force or violence against tenants or persons in occupation of premises (sect. 2). A court order is required to eject a tenant from premises (sect. 5). There are provisions concerning the procedure for ejectment (sect. 6) and the powers of the Commissioner (sect. 7). The Commissioner may institute a prosecution in respect of any offence under this Act. Section 9 concerns offences and penalties that may arise under the provisions.
