Résumé These Regulations establish provisions for the prevention of pollution of the sea in particular the discharge of sewage in Singapore waters. The discharge of sewage into the sea is prohibited except when the ship is discharging disinfected sewage using a system approved by the Administration at a distance of more than three nautical miles form the nearest land or when the ship has in operation an approved sewage treatment plant. A sewage treatment plant shall take into account the standards and test methods developed by the International Maritime Organization. An International Sewage Pollution Prevention Certificate shall be issued to any ship which is engaged in voyages to ports outside Singapore waters. Attached to these Regulations are two Schedules: Annex IV on the Convention listing Regulations for the prevention of pollution by sewage of ships (First Schedule); Fees (Second Schedule).
