Presidential Decree No. 6 of 2002 on the establishment of the environmental authority .

This Decree is composed of 5 articles concerning the establishment of the ‘ Environmental Authority’’. Article 1 states that under the authority of this Decree the Environmental Authority is established having independent legal personality and full legal capacity to direct all businesses. All powers and functions vested in the Ministry of Environment are devolved to the Environmental Authority (Art. 2). Article 4 declares that the Ministry of Environment is abolished and any provisions contradicting those of this Decree are cancelled.
