Résumé

The Regulation consists of 4 Sections dealing with the following matters: 1) general requirements; 2) the structure of the territory, its protection and the modalities of utilization; 3) protection of the national park; 4) liability. The Belavezhskaja Pusha National Park shall be classified as protected area of national importance. The purpose of its creation shall be in-situ conservation and complex study of the rare natural sites and objects of the Belavezh primeval forest, biological diversity and landscape of special ecological, historical, cultural and aesthetic value and the utilization thereof for environmental protection, scientific research, educational and recreational purposes. Land of the National Park shall be considered of environmental importance and land tenants must comply with the regulations on the protection and conservation of soil. Forestry, forest protection, reforestation, forest fire prevention, biotechnical, secondary forest management and other arrangements must comply with the project of the territorial organization of the National Park regulating forest management, hunting and land tenure. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of the National Park: 1) prospecting and mining; 2) discharge of untreated sewage into water reservoirs and water bodies; 3) timber rafting; 4) hauling timber with the use of track-type vehicles; 5) off-road movement of vehicles except for agricultural and forestry machinery ensuring the functioning of the National Park; 6) introduction and acclimatization of alien vegetable and wildlife species; 7) research that may lead to disturbance or degradation of the natural complexes; 8) other activities that may have negative impact.
