This Presidential Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Résumé

This Presidential Decree approves the Statute of the Ministry of Land Use Planning and Housing (MINOTH). This Statute, consisting of 24 articles divided into five Chapters and three Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, as a Ministerial Department of the President of the Republic and Head of the Executive Branch. It is responsible for perform the following activities: proposing the formulation, elaboration and coordination, execution and inspection of the Executive's policies in the areas of land planning, town planning, land tenure, cadastre and housing. In addition, it aims to promote the rationalization and administrative simplification of the activities of the Ministry; elaborate the legal framework regulating activities of land-use planning, town planning, land tenure, cadastre and housing; ensure the effective application of legislation on land use planning, town planning, land tenure, cadastre and housing; to exercise oversight the bodies responsible for the implementation and management of these planning; promote the implementation and monitoring of social housing and infrastructure; collaborate with other bodies in actions related to the execution of projects on land use planning, ensuring compliance with technical, legal and regulatory provisions; etc.
