Résumé This Act sets out penalties and fines for stealing, destroying or giving damage to any tree, plant, root, fruit, vegetable or other produce which is used or is capable of being used, whether after treatment or otherwise, as food or as an ingredient in food for man or beast. Furthermore, this Act lays down provisions on the power of search and arrest of the Police forces; registration as a seller of agricultural produce; giving a memorandum of sale or delivery to the purchaser or other person obtaining possession or custody of the agricultural produce; and payments of all fines received under this Act to the Praedial Larceny Fund.
