Résumé

This Title of Article 15 of the Environmental Conservation Law of New York (the Article 15 being known as the Water Resources Law of New York) sets out the powers and duties of the department of environmental conservation of New York in relation to water resources. More specifically, the noted powers and duties include investigations; examination of books, records and accounts; access to property for inspection or investigation; requirement of statements and reports; power to sue; eminent domain; powers and responsibilities with respect to water pollution control; and powers and responsibilities with respect to certain plumbing fixtures. The Title also regulates the department’s relations with other governmental bodies and agencies, and determines its other general powers and duties.
