It contains at the outset a definition clause relating to terms employed therein, such as “consumer”, “container”, “detention tag”, “dressed poultry”, “egg”, “egg station”, “licensee”, “poultry”, “poultry products”, “poultry station”, “processing”, “producer”, “ungraded eggs”, etc. Section 3 establishes that no person shall purchase poultry products for the purpose of resale, purchase or receive poultry, or act as agent in purchasing poultry, unless he holds a valid licence. Moreover, an inspector may place under detention any poultry products that do not comply with the Act or the regulations, or that do not meet the standards of the grade.
