Résumé The present regulations implements the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act .The Regulation lays down provision relating to the marketing of potatoes in Alberta. It contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms employed therein, such as “Act”, “Commission”, “dealer”, “farmer”, “foreign material”, “licence”, “licensed producer”, “marketable product”, “Plan”, etc. In order to grow or market potatoes, a licence has to be issued by the “Commission” of the “Potato Growers of Alberta”. The Commission is responsible for the refusal, cancellation and suspension of a licence. However, the Regulations does not apply to producers growing potatoes on one or more parcels of land not exceeding 5 acres in the aggregate. The text consists of 19 sections.
