For the purpose of ensuring its revision, this Regulation expires on 31 March 2019.
Résumé

The present regulations implements the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act .The Regulation lays down provision relating to the marketing of potatoes in Alberta. It contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms employed therein, such as “Act”, “Commission”, “dealer”, “farmer”, “foreign material”, “licence”, “licensed producer”, “marketable product”, “Plan”, etc. In order to grow or market potatoes, a licence has to be issued by the “Commission” of the “Potato Growers of Alberta”. The Commission is responsible for the refusal, cancellation and suspension of a licence. However, the Regulations does not apply to producers growing potatoes on one or more parcels of land not exceeding 5 acres in the aggregate. The text consists of 19 sections.
