An importation permit is required, all consignments of plants, fruits or seed shall enter India only through notified entry points and shall be presented for inspection. Consignments shall be accompanied by an official phytosanitary certificate and be packed according to requirements laid down by the present Order. Special conditions applying only to specified material are prescribed in Chapter III. Post entry quarantine is compulsory for plants and seeds as specified in Schedule II.
