Résumé

This Regulation, of 26 Section, gives definitions and makes provisions for the importation and selling of chemical preparations in Israel. Section (1) gives definitions. A chemical preparation is defined as a substance used for: a) regulating plants growing; b) to prevent diseases; c) to produce effoliation; d) to combat pests; e) to heal pruning and grafting wounds. Section (2) regards the authorization for operating an experimental use of a chemical preparation. Sections (3) and (4) deal with authorization request procedures. Section (5) provides with labelling requisitions. Section (6) announces the appointing of a Chemical Preparations Registration Committee of 13 members. Sections (7) and (8) provide with registration procedures. Sections (9) to (11) regard the issuing and the renewal of a Registration Certificate. Section (12) deals with Authorization for Use permits. A one year authorization for use permit shall be given to a newly registered preparation. Sections (13) and (14) prohibit the selling of a preparation that’s composition is different from the one written on its label and its packaging is not authorized by the director of Plant Protection Department. Section (15) gives power to the Director to revoke, to change or to limit a registration certificate for a certain preparation. Sections (16) to (17) provide with changing labels and packaging procedures. Section (18) prohibits the selling of a preparation that has not been registered. Section (19) regards personal purposes importation procedures. Sections (20) to (22) regard labelling and storing conditions. Section (23) prohibits making publicity for a preparation that does not have a valid registration certificate. Sections (24) to (26) give general information.
