A protected area is defined as a 200 meter wide land-strip surrounding a citrus or avocado plantation; A hazardous substance is defined as: Parathion, D.D.T and their surrogates. A person shall not spread a hazardous substance within a protected area. Pesticide air-spreading, within a protected area, shall not be operated in an upward direction. This regulation will not have power on citrus and avocado plantations planted after Entry into force date unless authorized by the director of the Plant Protection Department.
