Résumé

This Ordinance gives definitions and sets rules for the disinfection of cucumber seeds against bacterial stain disease produced by “Pseudamonoy Lacrymans”. Disinfection will be carried out in a special device by soaking the seed for five minutes in a solution of Enhanced Mercury diluted to 1 percent. After disinfection, the seeds must be dried in a shaded and well ventilated place. A seed producer shall not pass, in any possible way, the possession of seeds unless seeds have been disinfected and marked. Marking shall be carried out with the application of a tag on the seeds packaging reporting the following words: “These seeds have been mercury disinfected”.
