If necessary to do so in the opinion of the Commissioner of Agriculture the article infested may be destroyed (rule 3). Rule 5 provides for the fumigation of vessels, aircrafts, vehicles, and buildings. Articles, vehicles or buildings may also be fumigated on order of the Inspector who shall recover the costs of the owner or possessor. Rules 8 and 10 provides for the control measures such as stopping and searching of vehicles, marking of areas, and the declaration of quarantine areas.
