The 29 sections of this Act carry the following titles: Short title (1); Interpretation (2); Permit required for restricted articles (3); Applications for and restrictions on grant of permits (4); Emergency permits (5); Official shipments (6); Minister may prohibit or regulate importation of restricted articles (7); Minister may by Order take steps to prevent the spread of plant pests (8); Order modifying permit (9); Notification of arrival or movement in the mail (10); Safeguards (11); Export certification (12); Exclusion of liability (13); Pest control notice (15); Failure to comply with notice (16); Reimbursement of costs (17); Debt recovery (18); Waiving of expenses (19); Duration of quarantine (20); Removal of plants under quarantine (21); Determination of eradication (22); Inability to locate occupier or owner (23); Compensation (24); Establishment of Plant Protection and Quarantine Service (25); Power of Plant Protection and Quarantine Service (26); Penalties (27); Regulations (28); Savings (29). A Plant Protection and Quarantine Service is established under the Ministry of Agriculture. The Service shall administer and enforce the provisions of this Act (sect. 25).
