Tobacco lands shall be cleared annually (reg. 3). Regulation 4 prescribes manner of clearance. Cured tobacco from the current season's crop, which has not been sold across the tobacco auction floors, shall not be stored in the same room as cured tobacco from a previous season's crop. The Regulations prescribe various preventive measures such the sterilization of tobacco premises,. The clearance of tobacco premises and destruction of infested tobacco. Application for a tobacco premises licence shall be made to the Permanent Secretary in the form prescribed in the First Schedule and shall be issued in the form prescribed in the Second Schedule.
