Section (1) gives definitions. A Product is defined as any fresh fruit and vegetable, roots, stalks, flower bulbs, flowers and dried branches for decoration purposes except for Citrus and citrons. Section (2) prohibits the exportation of products from damaged fields. Section (3) prohibits the stocking of products unless in the following places: a packaging station, a passing station, a cooling station and a storeroom. Section (4) to (6) regards sanitarian conditions for the stocking places and during transportation. Section (7) and (8) provide with packaging materials to be used and packaging procedures. Section (9) establishes that a packaging container shall be filled with products from the same species, variety and quality. Section (10) provides with labelling procedures. Section (11) establishes that any shipment for exportation purposes shall be examined by an inspector within the ports’ boundaries or in the packaging station. Section (12) gives powers to the inspector to approve or reject the shipment for exportation. Section (13) provides with conditions for shipment’s rejection. Section (14) regards re-packaging procedures of products for exportation. Section (15) establishes that products destinated for exportation shall be accompanied with an Exportation Note and, when transported, with a Transportation Note. Section (16) provides with powers to the director to order the inspector to operate a second inspection of the shipment. Section (17) prohibits the changing of any detail on the labels of the products after that they have been inspected. Section (18) regards experimental shipment to which this regulation shall not apply. Section (19) provides with inspection rates and fees. Sections (20) to (22) give general information. Annex One provides with Quality Requisitions for exportation. Annex Two provides with technical and quality aspects related to each product category.
