Section (1) gives definitions. Section (2) establishes that readiness for picking control shall be operated on sight and by an authorized inspector. Section (3) lists exportation requirements for Grapefruits and Oranges, regarding percentage of juice in a fruit related to the period of the year. Section (4) gives powers to the Director of the Fruit Storage Department to stop the exportation of e certain variety of citrus fruits if its characteristics do not apply the exportation requirements. Sections (5) to (7) regard fruit picking conditions and instructions. Section (8) provides with Sanitarian requirements. Section (9) lists Basic Quality Requirements. Section (10) lists Special Quality Requirements. Section (11) regards Classification procedures. Fruits for exportation purposes shall be classified in three categories: a) Excellent; b) Level I; c) Level II. Section (12) provides with pre-packaging inspection powers. Section (13) regards Sorting procedures. Sorting shall be operated using these criteria: a) the maximum horizontal diameter of the fruit; b) fruit size; c) fruit uniformity. Section (14) regards tolerance requirements. Section (15) provides with disinfection and waxing procedures. Sections (16) to (18) regard fruit wrapping and packaging procedures. Sections (19) and (20) provide with labelling instructions. Section (21) establishes that fruits shall be protected from rain, water and sun during transportation, storage, loading and unloading. Sections (22) to (25) provide with pre-shipping inspection procedures to be operated in the packaging house by an authorized inspector that shall decide if shipment is conform to exportation requirements. Section (26) regards experimental citrus fruit shipments. These regulations shall not apply on an experimental shipment of citrus fruit. Sections (27) to (30) give general information. Annex regards labelling procedures reported in Section (20).
