The Act also contain provisions on housing on lands owned by local authorities and certain state authorities. Moreover the Act under Part 3 contains amendments to the Foreshore Act 1933 ; it extends the definition of foreshore to ensure the body of water above the seabed is included in the definition of foreshore hence provides that leases, licences and consents granted by the Minister under the Foreshore Act 1933 which include that area are now considered foreshore.
