Résumé This Act lays down provisions on the establishment and functions of the Pharmacy Council; registration of pharmacists; certification of premises as being suitable for operating a pharmacy and their registration; conditions for the duration, renewal, cancellation and suspension of certificate; disciplinary proceedings and penalties; publication of the list of poisons; requirements for the compounding, dispensing or selling by wholesale or retail of the drugs; the sale of drugs by a medical practitioner, dental practitioner, or veterinary practitioner for the purpose of his profession, and storage of a drug administered or supplied by a veterinary practitioner for any animal or fowl under his care; appointment of Inspectors for the purposes of enforcing the provisions of this Act; and offences and penalties.
